We will teach you how to start making dances on the first day!
Whether you are an experienced dancer or someone who only recently considered a dance class, this workshop has something for all levels. This comprehensive workshop is designed for beginner through intermediate/advanced levels of dance.
Benjamin Rethmeier leads this workshop, with over 15 years of in-classroom experience in educational dance. Each day will include a technical class, rehearsal of faculty choreography, and dedicated time to make and rehearse your dances. The week culminates with an informal evening performance on Friday, March 22. The concert will include the creative works from the workshop and guest performances by the modern dance company Hurley & Dancers. The evening show is a ticketed event.
The primary goal of this workshop is to explore choreographic devices used in dance composition, but don't think it'll be all work and no play!
